New Zombie Boot Camp for 2018
Zombie Boot Camp starts 2018 bigger and better. We have revamped the scenarios and listened to customers feedback about what they want for the future.
Zombie Boot Camp has been going strong since 2011 and we have had hordes of happy customers; the diary for 2018 is already filling up and events this Spring and Summer are filling up fast.
Friday evenings and Saturdays are still our most popular slots so if you are thinking of booking with us give us a call to avoid disappointment.
Upgrade to an evening event with us and stay over, this take the cost of expensive hotel out of the equation. We have basic accommodation for up to 30 people. So, make you event or party even more memorable.
You don’t have to be a big group to have a great time, many couples and small groups of friends come along, and everyone just mucks in.
In the event of a zombie apocalypse we won’t get the chance to pick who is on our team.
Most popular question answered: Yes You Can Shoot The Zombies and Aliens!
Unlike other Zombie Experiences in the UK all of our customers are issued with a gas operated M4 Tippman Airsoft Assault Rifle. During the mission phases of the event you can fire your rifles at our zombie actors. The zombie actors will react to where they are hit on the body. Multiple hits to the head and torso will result in a zombie falling to the ground, immobilised by your accurate shooting. Hit them in the legs or arms and they will continue to move towards you in an attempt to grapple you to the floor.
Bad shots or players who are not tactically aware will become zombie chow. The zombie actors will close with you and attempt to simulate biting a chunk out of your neck. Customers find this none stop action very exciting as it adds realism to their event. Don’t worry our zombie actors are well rehearsed and once you have been recovered from a frenzied attacks you can continue with your friends on the mission.
If you love the concept of panic or escape rooms then Zombie Boot Camp has it all. The whole event is now indoors across a 30,000 square foot site. On the 2nd mission we completely smoke out all of the units and add lighting which is designed to disorientate you to make the event just that little more difficult.
What happens on Zombie Boot Camp?
You will be met by one of our team members they will book you in. You will be all asked to read and sign a safety waiver. You need to know what you’re embarking on. Zombie Boot Camp needs a reasonable level of fitness, but you do not need to be an athlete to enjoy this zombie experience.
We here at Zombie Boot Camp take your safety and the safety of our staff very seriously. We insist that you wear long trousers, a long-sleeved shirt and reasonable footwear. For those that turn up in short sleeved shirts or shorts we can hire you a set of overalls. Due to the nature of the site slip-ons and flip flops are banned you will injure your feet. So, for those best men and maid of honours ensure that the groups understand this. We also suggest you acquaint yourselves with our alcohol policy to avoid disappointment. You will be given a safety brief by one of our experienced military instructors. Then issued a helmet, safety spectacles (optional face protection) (mandatory for under 18’s) body armour, knee and elbow protection.
We also will give you the option to buy a pair of safety gloves for only £2, they are yours to use and take away with you. The gloves will keep your hands clean and help prevent small cuts and knuckle scrapes. If you have a medical condition or an injury, please tell us the last thing we want is for you to worsen them. As part of the zombie experience you will need to navigate small spaces, tunnels, crawl troughs called “mouseholes”. The buildings are purposely darkened to heighten your experience we use smoke machine to white out rooms to add confusion. These conditions are key to making our zombie experience exciting and challenging. Due to this there is a real risk of tripping, slipping or falling. You may bang your head as you navigate a mouse hole but if your helmet chinstrap is fastened you will be safe.
The injuries you may encounter are “sports type” such as sprains and twists, the ankles, wrists and knees are vulnerable. So, listen to our instructors and staff members to minimise risk. If you are unsure or nervous or feeling ill tell us. The rifles you are issued are the market leader we will teach you how to be safe and we cannot stop you from being stupid. Accidently or deliberately you could injure your team mates by fooling around so listen to our military instructors.
We will teach you how to safely handle the rifles.
You will have a training period on how to work as a small team in a Close Quarter Battle (CQB) environment. Our military instructors will teach you how to navigate through a series of rooms. You will teach you how to check for survivors, rescue them and take down any of the infected using simulated lethal force via a full metal jacket 5.56mm rifle round.
What about if one of your buddies takes a hit or gets injured? Well, we will teach you how to move tactically with casualties through an area populated with the walking dead.
You will form up, load and make ready. Someone needs to take command. Team work and trust are essential.
This is your chance to get to know the characteristics of the zombies, how do they move, how fast are they how many times and where do you need to shoot them to put them to down. Beware of twitchers.
Make a provisional plan and try and stick to it our military instructors are there to help but we want you to achieve the mission.
Maintain control and communicate as a cohesive team.
Hopefully you have returned in one piece from the first Mission? Things now get a whole lot more complicated, try not to panic as you attempt to retrace your steps. The zombies are far more alert now and have picked up your scent. Try to keep the noise down as they will react instantly to the sound of human voices.
Remember the advice Captain Wolfgang gave you on mission 1 find those boxes of antidotes you need to get them back to Unit 11 as soon as possible.
Thought it was difficult the first time round – well now the units and rooms are full of smoke, make sure you can identify the zombies clearly before you open fire. The last thing you want to do is shoot up your team members. Be careful if your team mates get bitten or infected by zombie bodily fluids if they do, you have 15 minutes to get them back safely to administer the antidote. Too slow and they could turn and the that’s a whole world of misery. Along the way you may pick up survivors its up to you to look after them and get them back to Unit 11.
Its noisy, confusing and dirty but exciting and your leave feeling hungry for more.
Zombie Boot Camp Photo Action Shots – Once the bruises have cleared, you can look back proudly on how you survived the zombie battle with our action-shot photos. Throughout the missions, our on-site photographer captures the carnage. After the final debriefing all participants that wish to have a perfect memento of their day can also meet and be photographed with the zombies – all for the small additional fee of £6.00 per person. A vivid and long-lasting reminder of how you and your friends stood shoulder-to-shoulder against a tide of Zombie insanity.
